The Ultimate New Year Resolution
We all hear about new years resolutions on New Years Eve. You’ve probably heard those around you talking about wanting to get healthier, losing weight, quitting smoking, getting more fiscally organized, finding true love etc…But what many today fail to understand when making new year resolutions is that if one sincerely puts Christ first in their life everything else will fall into place. Christ will give you purpose and direction in your life. He will answer your prayers if you obey Him. His strength becomes yours ! Now I know what many of you are thinking, that the majority of people who make resolutions based on self-improvement often fail and give up early in the new year because they lack self-discipline. You’re right. But that lack of self-discipline is rooted in the rejection of the divine and CAN be obtained once that person embraces the desire to live for spiritual things (eternal life with Christ) instead of material things (worldly pleasures). Once we sincerely dedicate our lives to Christ we are able to overcome the fleshly things of this world (unhealthy junk food, mindless television and video games, pornography, alcohol, smoking, drugs, promiscuity) that corrupt our mind, body and soul and enslave us physically, mentally and spiritually to the judeo-satanic matrix of control. The Bible tells us this ! The greatest battle we all face in our lives is the battle within, the battle between the flesh and the spirit…
The mind governed by the flesh is death, but the mind governed by the Spirit is life and peace.
Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth.
Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.
Whoever sows to please their flesh, from the flesh will reap destruction; whoever sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life.
If you were of the world, the world would love you as its own; but because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you.
Jesus answered, “My kingdom is not of this world. If my kingdom were of this world, my servants would have been fighting, that I might not be delivered over to the Jews. But my kingdom is not from the world.”
Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him.
I have given them your word, and the world has hated them because they are not of the world, just as I am not of the world.
He said to them, “You are from below; I am from above. You are of this world; I am not of this world.
They are not of the world, just as I am not of the world.
For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places.
But our citizenship is in heaven, and from it we await a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, who will transform our lowly body to be like his glorious body, by the power that enables him even to subject all things to himself.
Instead, clothe yourselves with the Lord Jesus, the Messiah, and do not obey your flesh and its desires.
The bottom line is this – to truly live for Christ is to reject the fleshly desires of this world and embrace the spiritual reward of eternal life after death. A successful new years resolution begins with embracing Christ who will give you the spiritual strength that is needed to overcome life’s toughest obstacles. My New-Years-Resolution is to completely give up masturbation to show Christ just how much I am dedicated to Him. This might sound impossible to some of you but remember, if Christ conquered death I can conquer playing with my genitals a whole year and so can you ! When we dedicate our lives fully to the Lord Jesus Christ and believe in His existence we become stronger physically, mentally and spiritually. You start feeling spiritually superior and more compassionate to those around you still living under the influence of the judeo-satanic matrix of control. It’s the best feeling ever. Nothing compares to it.
Like my friend Henry says, ”
“We need to rediscover self-restraint. An alarm must go off in our mind every time we are tempted. Quickly we will discover that the rewards of self-restraint far exceed self-indulgence. We will feel as much self confidence and pride from exercising our spiritual muscles as we do from an intense physical workout. Spiritual discipline gives life challenge and definition. We become Self-centered in terms of our higher self, obeying a new Master. As we purify and exert ourselves, we begin to enter into the fourth dimension, the moral dimension. We begin to experience the person we were meant to be.”
